About the Role
This is a hands-on role perfect for a chef ready to step up, take on more responsibility, and continue growing their skills in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
As Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations, lead by example during service, and help maintain the high standards our guests expect. As required, you will assist with kitchen leadership, operational planning and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
- Support and mentor other kitchen team members
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Help with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
- Contribute to menu development
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Ensure food safety and hygiene requirements are met
- Contribute to a positive and productive team culture
What We’re Looking For
- Cert IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef with a passion for food quality
- Reliability, initiative and a positive approach to teamwork
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
